About the Artwork
The sun exposes everything upon a rough, hot, and barren surface. Even memories and pain I wished to forget are pulled back into a cold, indifferent reality, forcing me to confront them once again. The stronger and hotter the sun becomes, the deeper the shadows grow. Even when I close my eyes in refusal, its sting remains on my skin, and the anguish of life feels as though it may never end. Amid the piercing sound of cicadas, I stand trembling—like Meursault beneath the relentless sun, wavering under the weight of absurdity and an unforgiving light.
