Artist Statement

My work explores what it means to be human—the vulnerability, tension, solitude, resilience, and hope that exist beneath everyday life. Working primarily through the human figure, I use expressive lines, fractured forms, layered color, and pattern to examine the boundaries between inner and outer worlds. I am especially drawn to moments where opposing emotions coexist: beauty and discomfort, isolation and connection, darkness and humor. Rather than seeking idealized beauty, I try to create work that feels honest, allowing each figure to carry traces of memory, conflict, and the quiet desire to keep moving forward.
